Anne Rose McGarvey (nee: Misdom), 90, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015. Born in Bayonne, she was a lifelong resident and devoted parishioner of St. Mary, Star of the Sea Parish. She was a home health companion.
Mrs. McGarvey was predeceased by her beloved husband, Hugh McGarvey. She is survived by her loving children, Erin McGarvey, and Ellen Millan, and her husband, Shanon; and her sister, Marion Fehl. She was also predeceased by her dear brother, George Misdom; and sisters-in-law, Anne and Mary McGarvey. Mrs. McGarvey is also survived by her grand dog, Bailey.
The funeral will be conducted by William Kohoot Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA, P.O. Box 96929, Washington, DC, 20090-6929.
