Carlos Jose Franceschi, 72 , passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015 in Puerto Rico. Born to the late Charles and Rosa Camlia (nee: Figueroa), he resided most of his life in Bayonne before settling in Puerto Rico in 1998.
An Army veteran, Mr. Franceschi worked as a mail handler for the United States Post Office for over 36 years.
He enjoyed playing the lotto, fishing, watching horse races and dancing. He was often found nurturing ill dogs back to health. Mr.Franceschi also loved vacationing aboard Cruise Ships.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 45 years, Virginia; his loving children, Carlos Franceschi, Jr. and Gina Moore and her husband, Jim; his cherished grandchildren, Carlos Franceschi, III and Madison and Connor Moore.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Gathering on Monday, February 16, 2015 from10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc., 854 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ. A Prayer Service will be held at 12 noon.
