Catherine (McLaughlin) Komoski

Catherine Komoski (nee: McLaughlin) passed away peacefully on Friday, May 31, 2019 at her daughter’s residence in Forestdale, MA. She was born in Bayonne, to the late Ellen “Helen” (nee: Sullivan) and Robert A. McLaughlin and was a proud lifelong resident of the city she loved.

Mrs. Komoski was a parishioner of St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church since childhood. She took much pride and comfort in her faith as well as her Irish heritage.

Mrs. Komoski is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Edward; her loving daughter, Kathleen Eckel, and her husband Robert; her cherished son Edward, and his wife Theresa; her treasured granddaughters, Samantha, Stephanie, Mary Cate, and Jaclyn; and many adoring nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her dear siblings, Robert and James McLaughlin, Dorothy Staunton, Helen Mackiewicz, Lorraine Nowicki, Rita McLaughlin, Madeline Billicki, and Mae Poitras.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, June 6, 2019.  A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church at 10:00 a.m. followed by entombment at the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
