Welcome to the memorial page for

Charles Glock

November 14, 1946 ~ August 7, 2016 (age 69) 69 Years Old

Charles Glock, 69, of Bayonne, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 7, 2016, after a nearly three-year long battle with ALS.

Charles spent the last 20 years as a police, fire and emergency dispatcher for the city of Bayonne. He took a tremendous amount of pride in his job, being a part of the service that our police and fire provide to our city.

Prior to his time working in emergency services, he spent 24 years employed by the Exxon Oil Company, serving as a transportation allocator of vessels along the east coast.

He loved to play dominoes, and did right up until his final days – and he hated to lose. He loved driving around in his orange 1976 Corvette and his Chrysler 300.

He served as a Seaman in the United States Navy during Vietnam, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.

Charles is survived by Julie, his loving wife of 44 years; his daughter, Christy; his son, Keith; his two loving grandchildren, Reese Marie and Brennan Charles, whom he cherished; his sister, Carolyn Fryczynski (Stanley); and niece; Erin Caldarone (Jonmichael).

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. Family and friends will gather on Thursday at 10:45 a.m. at St. Henry’s Church for a Memorial Mass.
