Dorothy L. (Merritt) Devaney

Dorothy L. Devaney (nee: Merritt), 88, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2016, at her residence with her loving family at her side.  Born in Bayonne, she was a lifelong resident.  She worked for the State of New Jersey in the Unemployment Department and also as a clerk for Raff & Masone PA, Bayonne.

Mrs. Devaney was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harold.  She is survived by her loving daughters, Debra Ruggirello, and her husband, Richard, and Diane Kostenbader, and her husband, Kurt; and her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and Jamie Ruggirello and Emma and Marc Kostenbader.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, March 31, 2016.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.  Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 A.C. Skinner Parkway, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32256 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
