Florence (Jankowski) Hojnowski

Florence Hojnowski (nee: Jankowski), 94, passed away on March 16, 2015 at her residence.  Born in Bayonne, she returned to Poland until the age of 17 and then became a Bayonne resident. Mrs. Hojnowski was a homemaker.  She was a devoted parishoner of St. Mary, Star of Sea and a member of the Rosary Society.

Mrs. Hojnowski was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry.  She is survived by her devoted children, Kenneth Hojnowski (Deborah), Bernadette Rucinski (William), Maryann DeLuccy (Thomas Lyman) and Judith Hunter (Bruce Vreeland); ten adoring grandchildren; seven cherished great grandchildren; her loving daughter-in-law, Barbra Hojnowski; and her dear siblings, Edmund Jankowski and Aniela Mieczkowska.  She was predeceased by her beloved son, Eugene Hojnowski.

The funeral will be conducted by William Kohoot Funeral Home on Friday, March 20, 2015.  A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
