Hugh P. McNiff, 57, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016. Born in Jersey City to the late Hugh P., Sr. and Mary (Sheehan) McNiff, Hugh was a graduate of Queen of Peace High School, North Arlington. He was currently employed by Union Local #9 as a roofer.
He proudly served the nation as a member of the United States Marine Corps.
Hugh enjoyed riding his Harley and was an avid fisherman. He also liked crossword puzzles and had an immense love for dogs.
Above all, Hugh loved his family.
Hugh is survived by his wife, Loriann (Marino) McNiff; his two sons, Kevin McNiff and Daniel Weiskopf; two sisters, Rose DeJianne (Arthur) and Maureen McNiff (Harry Pierce); several in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and family in Ireland.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington. Interment of cremains will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
As per Hugh’s request, casual attire is suggested.
