John Dias

John Dias, 56, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018.  He was born in Bayonne and was a lifelong resident.  He was a plumber for Pete Manley Plumbing and Heating for many years. 

John was born on June 14, 1961 to the late Isabel (nee: Melendez) and Julio Dias.  He is survived by his loving siblings, Ruth Rodriguez (Nelson), Marie Matus, Julio Dias Jr. (Darlene), Hilda Pizzaro (Juan), Ana Dias (Jose Gonzalez), Rosa McCann (Thomas), Angel Raymond Dias, Carlos Dias (Janice), Carmen Schoenfeld (Ralph) and Andrea Esteves (Manuel); his dear step daughters, Alicia and Jessica Bunalski; and was Pop to his cherished step grandchildren, A’Moria, Garland Jr., Curtis, Breanna, Antonio and Sophia. He is also survived by his dear in-laws, Cristina Del Valle and Antonio Sanchez; and many loving nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his loving siblings, Jose Del Valle, Margarita Dias and Edward Dias; and dear brother-in-law, Stephen Matus. John was a cherished friend to all that knew him.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc.  Visitation will take place on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a service to be held at 6:15 p.m.  A private cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bayonne Friends of the Handicapped or to a charity of your choice.
