John M. Kelly, 77, of Wood-Ridge, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2016.  Born in Jersey City, he was a long time resident of Bayonne prior to moving to Wood-Ridge.  He was a terminal dispatcher for British Petroleum, Elizabeth, and also worked for many years at General Cable, Bayonne.

John proudly served the United States as a member of the Marine Reserve and was a former member of the Bayonne Marine Corps League.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Roseann Kelly (nee: Maiello); his dear siblings, Jerry Kelly (Dolores) and Maryann Adamkowski (Walter); his dear in-laws, Joan Kelly and Thomas and Lillian Maiello; his cherished nieces and nephews, Thomas Maeillo (Amy), Lisa Theodoracopoulos (Dino), Sandra D’Angelo (Joseph), Jennifer Maiello and Debra Adamkowski; and his adoring grandniece and grandnephews, Nikolas, Alexandra and Thomas Theodoracopoulos and Joseph and Matthew D’Angelo.  He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Anna (nee: Rahoche) and John Kelly; his dear brothers, George and Michael Kelly; and his cherished niece, Cheryl McGuckin.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Saturday, August 20, 2016.  A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Andrew’s Church at 11:00 a.m. followed by entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
