June D. (Widmer) McComb

June D. McComb (nee: Widmer), 94, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2016, at her residence with her loving son, Clinton, at her side.  She was born in Bayonne and was a lifelong resident. 

Mrs. McComb was employed in the automobile business for many years, retiring in 2005 from Towne Cadillac.

She was an active member of Calvary Episcopal Church, serving as an altar guild directress, Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, Eucharistic Minister and lay reader.  In 1998, she was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Episcopal Diocese of Newark. 

She was affectionately known as “June Bug.”

Mrs. McComb was the beloved daughter of the late Dorothy and William Widmer.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Allen; and her loving daughter, Dorothy Argenziano.  She is survived by her loving children, Ellen, Audrey, Bill, Bach and Clinton McComb; seven adoring grandchildren; four cherished great grandchildren; and her dear sister, Audrey Widmer.  She was also predeceased by her dear brothers, William Widmer, Jr. and Clinton Widmer.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, September 1, 2016.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Episcopal Church, 956 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ 07002.
