Kathleen (Keane) Barry

Kathleen Barry (nee: Keane) passed away peacefully on May 6, 2017, at Bayonne Medical Center.  Born in County Longford, Ireland, she had been a resident of Bayonne since 1980, after relocating from Jersey City.

Mrs. Barry was employed by Pomptonian Food Service and was also the cashier in the faculty dining room at the former Jersey City State College.

She was a devoted parishioner of St. Andrew Apostle Church, and a member of its Rosary Society.

Mrs. Barry was the beloved wife of the late John J. Barry.  She is survived by her loving daughter, Maryann Connelly and her husband, Phil; and the love of her life, her grandson, Kevin Patrick Connelly.

She was the dear aunt of the late Frank Taibl, Thomas Keane, and his wife, Kim, Kevin Keane, and his wife, Marykim, and the late Michael Keane Jr., and his wife, Diane.

She is also survived by a cherished member of the Barry family, Mary Ellen Weinel.

Mrs. Barry was the loving daughter of the late Mary Keane (nee: Keagan) and the late Francis J. Keane.  She was predeceased by her dear siblings, Margaret Taibl, Shelia Sweeney, Michael Keane, Sr., and Frank Keane.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, May 11, 2017.  A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blessed Miriam Teresa Food Pantry, 326 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ 07002.
