Ralph Holtzman, 95, passed away at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood on Monday, March 2, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived most of his life in Bayonne.
Mr. Holtzman was employed as a clerk for the Bayonne Fire Department for nine years, as a crossing guard and also worked as a baker for Manischewitz, Jersey City, for 33 years. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the Knights of Pythias, Brooklyn. Mr. Holtzman was an avid poker player and Mets fan.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rae, in 2002. He is survived by his loving daughters, Lois Grassi and her husband, Louis, Adrienne Marangio, and her late husband, John; and his cherished grandchildren, Cherie LaPelusa, Julie Gartenberg, Maria Davin and Craig and Mark Grassi. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge, NJ.
