Regina Petrinczyk (nee: Hastrup) passed away peacefully on June, 15, 2016, at Peggy Coloney’s House, Scotch Plains. Born in Jersey City, she was a resident of Bayonne for 38 years.
Regina was a case manager for the Hudson County Chest Clinic. Also a registered nurse, she was employed by Christ Hospital, United Medical and Hamilton Park Nursing Facility.
A troop leader for the Boy Scouts, Regina re-founded the St. Andrew’s group. She loved to travel, especially cruising to the Caribbean, as well as enjoying time in the mountains. She was also an avid reader.
Regina was a huge Bon Jovi fan.
She is survived by her beloved husband, John Petrinczyk; her loving children, William “Bill,” and his wife, Tanya, and Peter Petrinczyk; her dear siblings, Edward and Margaret Hastrup; and many loving nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Donations may be made to Mary's Place by the Sea, 22 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove, NJ 07756, a respite home for women dealing with cancer. Massages, hair salon, water therapy, meditation are offered free of charge to energize their spirit or to JBJ Soul Kitchen, 207 Monmouth St., Red Bank, NJ 07701, where a donation of money goes for a meal to a person down on their luck. They receive the meal and in turn washes dishes and garden to help pay for a meal to keep their self-esteem.
