Karl Prokop

Karl Prokop passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at John F. Kennedy Medical Center.  He was born in Bayonne to the late Margaret (nee: Lesho) and Frank Prokop and was a long-time resident prior to moving to Edison in 2015. He was a flavor maker for Robertet Flavors prior to retirement and also worked for Jay Cee Labs and his family’s gas station.

Karl was predeceased by his beloved wife, Barbara (nee: Zigari).  He is survived by his loving children, Karl Jr., and Karleen; and his dear sister, Kathleen Raslowsky. He was predeceased by his loving brother Frank, and his wife, Patricia, and his dear brother-in-law, Billy.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, February 22, 2024.  A funeral liturgy will take place at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
