Leo E. Nardone, of Bayonne and Forked River, passed away peacefully at Morristown Memorial Hospital on Sunday, February 11, 2024, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Newark to the late Rose (nee: Sheridan) and Vincent A. Nardone and was a resident of Maplewood, prior to residing in Bayonne. A graduate of Columbia High School in Maplewood and St. Leo’s College in Florida, he was employed at American Water for over 25 years.
Leo was a member of the Cranford Elks Lodge, #2006.
He was quick-witted and loved the shore, especially boating and fishing. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cooking, but most of all, his greatest love was for his grandsons.
Leo is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Patricia (nee: Keating) Nardone; his loving children, Kristen Nardone, and her husband, Aaron Grossman, and Leo Nardone, and his fiancé, Kelsey Trebour; his cherished grandsons, Ryan and Jake Grossman; and his loving sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his dear siblings, Vincent J. Nardone and Eugenia Felt.
The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, February 15, 2024. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Vincent DePaul Church at 11:00 a.m. Private cremation will follow. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
