Eleanor Barbito

Eleanor Barbito passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 29, 2018.  She was born in Bayonne to the late Theresa “Victoria” (nee: Sakowski) and John Barbito and was a lifelong resident.  She was the office manager and bookkeeper for Palmer Contracting, Jersey City.

Ms. Barbito is survived by her son, Richard Capitano; her  loving grandchildren Michele Monaco, Michael Capitano and Amy Capitano; many cherished great grandchildren; her dear sister, Jeanette DeFilippis; and several loving nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her beloved son, Charles Capitano; and her dear brothers, Joseph, Robert, George and Richard Barbito.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church on January 11, 2019, at 11:00 a.m.
