Alessandra Spagnolo passed away peacefully on Friday, September 10, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born at Meadowlands Hospital in Secaucus, NJ and was a lifelong resident of Bayonne, where she attended Holy Family Academy. A graduate of Montclair State University, Alessandra was a dental hygienist and a professor of dental hygiene at UMDNJ & Rutgers University.
Alessandra is survived by her loving mother, Josephine (nee: Vocaturo); her dear stepfather, Arek Fibner; and her loving brother, Anthony, and his wife, Ellen; cherished uncle Anthony J. Vocaturo & aunt Michele Vocaturo, loving cousins, Joseph M. Lopera and Anthony J. Jr. and Nicco V. Vocaturo, and many dear family and friends.
A funeral Mass will be held at the Church of St. Henry in Bayonne at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday followed by entombment at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, NJ. Visitation will be held at the Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s’ Research Hospital.
