Robert J. Najdzin (Bob), 74, of Bayonne, entered into eternal rest on January 24, 2024 at Care One of Paramus due to complications from hip surgery. Robert was born and raised in Cliffside Park, the oldest of four boys born to the late Stephanie (nee; Mioduszewski) and Joseph Najdzin. Robert graduated from Bergen Vocational Tech School and enjoyed a long fulfilling career with the law firm Lerner David LLP in Westfield before retiring.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Diane (nee: Belenke); brothers Peter (SueAnn), Michael (Lori), Paul (Erika); his nieces and nephews Rachel (Matt), Holly (Victor), Laura, Derek, Julie (Alex) and Ian; and his great nephews, Mason and Elliot.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Dolores, brother-in-law Paul (Esther) and was predeceased by Frances, his beloved “brother” in-law, Chester Belenke.
He will be missed by his many cousins, friends and colleagues.
Robert loved to volunteer at all church activities, especially Bingo night, enjoyed listening to church music, cruise vacations, beach days and visits to Atlantic City, and in his spare time computer gaming. We will all miss his friendship, infectious smile and laugh, booming choir voice and optimistic outlook on life.
Robert demonstrated a lifelong dedication to the catholic church as a parishioner of the Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish, St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church, where he was a faithful servant of God. One of his greatest joys was singing with the church choir for over 50 years where he formed many cherished friendships. He was a member of the Hudson County Serra Club, an organization that fosters vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
The family would like to thank the staff at Care One Paramus for their outstanding compassionate care of Robert during his final days.
The funeral will be conducted by the Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc.
