Serafino "Pete" Ferrante

Serafino Pietro “Pete” Ferrante, 94, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2017.  He was born in Bayonne and was a lifelong resident.

Mr. Ferrante was a technical writer for Bell Labs, retiring in 1989.

He proudly served the nation as a member of the United States Army during World War II.

Mr. Ferrante was predeceased by his beloved wife, Carmela (nee: Perri).  He is survived by his loving daughter, Mary Appel, and her husband, Elliot; and his cherished grandchildren, Danielle McCarthy, and her husband, Andrew, and Alexandra Appel.  He was predeceased by his dear siblings, Mary Schiros and Virgina Keller.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Friday, December, 15, 2017. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Donations may be made to Blessed Miriam Teresa Soup Kitchen, 326 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ 07002.
