Anthony Rotolo

Anthony “Tony” Rotolo passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 19, 2023. 

He was born in Rizziconi, Calabria, Italy to the late Maria Eufemia Rotolo (nee: Luppino) and Giovanni Rotolo.  He immigrated to the United States in 1953 to downtown Jersey City.  Tony was active in the Italian American Club and very proud of his Italian heritage.   Tony enjoyed spending most of his time with his family and loved to play Briscola (Italian Cards) for hours.  He was an entrepreneur, operating several businesses throughout his life.   He was also a laborer for G.L.N. Scrap Metal in Jersey City prior to retirement.  He lived in Bayonne and then to Middletown, NJ. 

Mr. Rotolo is survived by his loving daughters, Maria Rotolo, Antoinette Rotolo-McGee, and her husband, Charles, and Lisa Rotolo-Burke, and her husband, Darren; his cherished grandchildren, Louis, Antonia, and Giovanni Pisaniello, Amanda Riccardi-Delgado and her husband Christopher Delgado, Connor, Anthony and Olivia McGee, and John, Darren and Nino Burke; his cherished great grandchildren, Maria, Giovanni, Caden, Catherine, Christopher, and Adriana; his dear sister, Nancy Gadaleta, and her husband, Ignazio; and many loving nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by his former wife, Doris Sherry-Rotolo; and his dear siblings, Salvatore Rotolo, and his wife, Louisa, Rosa Rotolo, Costanza Cannavo, and her husband, Espedito “Frank.”

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.  A funeral Mass will be held at the Church of St. Henry at 10:45 a.m. followed by entombment at Fairview Mausoleum, Fairview.  Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
