Daniel “Tippy” P. Kinahan passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at his family’s residence after a brief illness. He was born in Bayonne to the late Mary (nee: Noonan) and Francis X. Kinahan and was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of St. Peter’s Preparatory School and Fordham University Lincoln Center and attended Fordham University Law School. A published poet, Tippy enjoyed studying foreign languages and appreciated a good honey sandwich. He was proud of his Irish heritage and was known to play the penny whistle.
Tippy is survived by his dear sister, Mary Kinahan-Ockay; his cherished nephews, Michael David Ockay, and his wife, Stephanie, and John F.X. Ockay, and his wife, Emily; his loving niece, Caitlin O’Connell Kinahan; and his treasured great-nephew, Ryan David Ockay. He was predeceased by his beloved brother, Francis “Kin” X. Kinahan; and his dear brother-in-law, David Ockay.
