Dianna Dworski, 77, formerly of Bayonne, passed away on January 8, 2025, due to a lengthy illness.
Dianna was born in Germany and immigrated to the United States at an early age with her parents. She attended the former S.A. Roberson Grammar School and graduated from Bayonne High School. She was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church.
Throughout her adulthood, Dianna was a participant in the Bayonne ARC program, followed by residencies in developmental centers in Totowa, Vineland and Clinton. That is where she blossomed. Dianna enjoyed painting, arts and crafts, coloring and socializing with other group residents.
In later years, she took on acting and performed in many of the theatrical plays presented at that location. She will be remembered for her kind and spiritual nature, along with an unforgettable smile. She enjoyed and loved her friends and staff members at the Hunterdon Developmental Center in Clinton.
Dianna was predeceased by her parents, Emily and Nicholas Dworski; her nephew, Kyle; and her brother-in-law, Michael Kordecki.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Kordecki, and Irene O’Connell, and her husband, Edwin; her brothers, Bohdan, and his wife, Mary, and Nicholas, and his wife, Caryn; her cherished nieces and nephews; and several grand nephews.
Private funeral services will take place at Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Campbell Hall, NY under the direction of Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dianna’s name to St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Attn: Rev. Kostyk, 141 Sarah Wells Trail, Campbell Hall, NY 10916.
The family would like to thank the entire staff and Dianna's fellow residents at the Hunterdon Developmental Center (Cottage 21) for their wonderful care and friendship during her stay there.
