Eleanor Reynolds

Eleanor Reynolds (nee: Jurcisin), 93, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Morristown Medical Center. She was born in Bayonne on February 14, 1928, to the late Susan (nee: Kasper) and John Jurcisin. She was a lifelong resident where she met and married the love of her life Robert Reynolds, on May 29, 1955.

Eleanor was the Emergency Room admitting clerk at Bayonne Hospital where she retired after 25 years of service. Although she enjoyed this job, her favorite jobs of all were in her roles as Mom and Nana.

Eleanor was an avid card player, loved her scratch offs, and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. All that knew “Ellie” would agree that she had a unique personality. “Ellie” always knew how to keep you on your toes and make you laugh with her spunky comments.

Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert J. Reynolds; and her loving son, Robert Reynolds. She is survived by her loving son, Neil Reynolds, and his wife Maria (nee: Magotch); her cherished granddaughters Brooke and Alyssa; her dear siblings Alice Jurcisin, and William Jurcisin (Audrey); and many loving nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her dear siblings, Joseph Jurcisin, John Jurcisin, Ann Jandris, and Marie Sweeney.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Monday, January 31, 2022. A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Demjanovich Parish at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, January 30, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Cemetery on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 12:30 p.m.
