Elena (Almario) Dembowski

Elena A. Dembowski (nee: Almario) passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Jersey City Medical Center.  She was born in Manila, Philippines to the late Liberty (nee: Hipolito) and Ronald Almario and was a long-time Bayonne resident.

Elena was a patient access representative at Jersey City Medical Center for 15 years and was also employed at Meadowlands Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital.  She was also employed by Mikasa. 

Elena is survived by her beloved husband, Walter Dembowski; her loving children, Joshua Christopher Dembowski, and his wife Julie Dembowski, and Rhodora Maasin; and her cherished grandchild, Nevaeh Maasin; and her dear siblings, Danilo Almario, Oliver Almario, Merian Mendoza and Herminia Masigla.  She was predeceased by her loving siblings, John, Oscar and Fred Almario.

A warm person with a great spirit, she was a loving friend to all.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Friday, September 6, 2024.  A funeral Mass will take place at the Church of St. Henry at 10:45 a.m. followed by entombment at Garden of Memories, Washington Township.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
