Ellen Visone

Ellen M. Visone passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at her Bayonne residence surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Bayonne to the late Eleanore (nee: Schaefer) and Henry Moskal, she was a long-time Bayonne resident. 

A graduate of Bayonne Hospital School of Nursing, Ellen received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from St. Peter’s College.  She spent most of her career as a staff nurse at Bayonne Medical Center and also worked for Dr. Devarajan Iyengar.

Ellen is survived by her beloved husband, Peter Visone; her loving children, Peter Visone, Natalie Visone, and Michael Visone, and his wife, Maria; her cherished grandchildren, Taylor Ellie, Rocco, Avery and Colton; her dear sister, Paula Ortner, and her husband, Frank; her sister-in-law, Frances Geduldick, and her husband, Thomas; her dear nieces, Lauren Ortner and Kiristie Fernandez; her dear nephew, Thomas Geduldick; and her lifelong friend, Chris Sova. She was predeceased by her late brother, Henry Moskal.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, November 17, 2022.  A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 11:00 a.m.  Private cremation will follow.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be no visitation at the funeral home prior to the funeral Mass on Thursday. Entombment of Ellen’s ashes will take place at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum at a later date.
