Erlinda (Soriano) Mellish

Erlinda Mellish (nee: Soriano) passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Care Point Health at Bayonne Medical Center. She was born in the Philippines to the late Felicidad (nee: Delfin) and Pedro Soriano and was a long-time Bayonne resident. She was a sewing operator for Bayonne Fashion’s for over 30 years prior to retirement.

Erlinda is survived by her beloved husband, James Mellish; and her dear siblings, Manilito and Rudolph Soriano, Celia Bottino and Sofia Tripp. She was predeceased by her brother, Francisco Soriano.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.  A funeral Mass will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church at 11:00 a.m.  Private cremation will follow.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
