Henry "Harry" Wright

Henry “Harry “Wright, 72, entered into the arms of Jesus with family and friends surrounding him on April 9, 2024, at his Bayonne residence. He was born in Jersey City to the late Isabelle (nee: Marcario) and Harry Wright and was a Bayonne resident for many years.

A graduate of Bayonne Hospital School of Nursing, where he was honored as the Salutatorian, and St. Peter’s College, Harry was a registered nurse and was employed at numerous health care facilities over his 30-year career, including Alaris-Guttenberg, Weehawken, Care One, Morristown, Bayonne Medical Center, and Harborview Health Care. He was honored as the recipient of many awards throughout his career and earned numerous certifications. He also worked at Best Foods for 17 years.

Harry was a longtime and active member of Grace Bible Fellowship, Bayonne, where he served in ministry and loved his church family dearly.  He loved and trusted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan (nee: Gatti) Wright; his loving children, Eric and Mark (Jen) Wright , Lauren Jones (Jacob); his cherished grandchildren, Luke and Elliot Wright, and Grace, Abigail, Noah, Micah, Elijah, and Benjamin Jones; his dear sisters, Mary Lou Haslach and Anne Tortorella (Charlie); his cherished uncle who was like a father and big brother to him, Joe Marcario; and many nieces, nephews, friends and pastor.

Visitation will be held on April 15, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Bible Fellowship, 15 West 21st Street, Bayonne, followed by a funeral service. The funeral procession will leave from Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. at 12:30 p.m. to Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
