James Poklemba

James Poklemba passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at Bayonne Medical Center.  He was born in Jersey City to the late Emma (nee: Tomol) and Stephen Poklemba and was a long-time Bayonne resident.  He was a meter reader for PSE&G prior to retirement.

James is survived by his brother, Robert Poklemba, and his wife, Helen; his nieces, Debra Anderson and Joyce Poklemba; and his nephews, Nicholas, Walter and Richard  Brady, Gabriel Priest and Thomas Rhodes.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Dorothy, Irene ,Irma, Ida and William Poklemba.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Mary, Star of Sea Church on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment of James' ashes at Holy Cross Cemetery.
