James Wisely passed away peacefully on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Care Point Health at Bayonne Medical Center. He was born in Bayonne to the late Leonore (nee: Hoffnagle) and James Wisely and was a lifelong resident. He was a detective for the Bayonne Police Department for over 30 years, retiring in 2008.
Mr. Wisely proudly served the nation as a member of the United States Army.
Mr. Wisely is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia (nee: Rogers) Wisely; his loving children, Brian Wisely, and his wife, Jena, and Jennifer D’Alessio, and her husband, James; his four cherished grandchildren, Anna, Emily and John Wisely, and Jack D’Alessio; and his dear siblings, Mary Lynn Drexler, Barbara Burke, and her husband, James, and Leonore Geisler. He was predeceased by his dear brothers-in-law, Richard Drexler and Robert Geisler.
A Memorial Mass will take place at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Andrew the Apostle Church on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. followed by the entombment of Mr. Wisely’s ashes at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.
