John Petrinczyk passed away at his home on Friday, April 22, 2022. Born in Bayonne to the late Justyna (nee: Harasymiw) and William Petrinczyk, he was a lifelong resident.
John was beloved father and husband who always put his family first.
John was an operator for Conoco-Phillips at the Bayway Refinery prior to retirement. He was also employed at Best Foods, Bayonne, for 29 years.
He proudly served in the United States Army and the National Guard.
John was a Bayonne High School graduate and played on the Varsity football team as well as the track and field team in the offseason during his time there. He was a strong and determined man on every project he undertook no matter how small or for whom.
A lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time in the mountains. He was especially proud of his green thumb that he inherited from his mother and father.
John was predeceased by his beloved wife, Regina (nee: Hastrup); and his dear sister, Olga Petrinczyk.
He is survived by his loving sons, Bill, and his wife, Tanya, and Peter Petrinczyk. He also survived by his “adopted” extended family.
The funeral will be conducted from the Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Friday April 29, 2022, with a service taking place at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
