John Wojturski "Big John"

John Wojturski “Big John”  passed away peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2025, at his Bayonne residence.  He was born in Bayonne to the late Josephine (nee: LaBruno) and Andrew Wojturski and was a lifelong Bayonne resident.  He was a mechanic for the City of Bayonne Water Department prior to retirement and was employed at Best Foods for over 34 years before working for the city. 

John proudly served the nation as a member of the United States Navy during Vietnam War.    He was a member of the V.F.W.  and American Legion, Post 19.  He was also a member of the Brotherhood MC.

John is survived by his loving wife, Gina (nee: Ward); his beloved children, Johnnie Wojturski (David Mateo), Lisa O’Donnell, Keith O’Donnell (Lauren), Sonny Bimbo (Tara Provenzano-Bimbo), Odette Nieves, Liz Casterelli, and Billy Cable (Kelly); his nine cherished grandchildren; and his dear brother, Andrew Wojturski (Janet).  He was predeceased by his dear sister, Joann Castaldo.

A private cremation was held under the direction of Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc.  John’s ashes will be scattered at sea by the United States Navy at a later date.
