Obituary

Kurt W. Kostenbader, 59, passed away at Beth Israel Medical Center on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, with his loving family at his side. He was born in Philadelphia to the late Margaret (nee: Ruloff) and Walter Kostenbader and was s a Bayonne resident for many years.

Kurt was an IT Specialist for the United Federation of Teachers, New York. He was just shy of receiving his second Master’s Degree in Social Work before his illness, aspiring to become a Christian marriage and family counselor.

Kurt loved his family dearly and enjoyed playing his guitar.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane (nee: Devaney) Kostenbader; his loving children, Emma and Marc Kostenbader; and his dear sister, Kay Joseph, and her husband, Phil.

A funeral service will take place at Bayonne Memorial Home Inc. on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Austin Newberry presiding. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack Hospital, 92 2nd St, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
