Obituary
Lawrence Slagus, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Bayonne Medical Center. He was born in Bayonne to the late Stella (nee: Gesek) and Michael Slagus and was a lifelong resident. He was carpenter for Union #253 and a proud veteran of the armed forces.
Mr. Slagus is survived by his dear friend, Barbara Broderick; and many loving family members and extended family members. He was predeceased by his loving siblings, Raymond, Dolores and Lorraine Slagus.
The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Tuesday, February 1, 2021. A funeral Mass will be held at the Church of St. Henry at 10:45 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday morning prior to the funeral Mass.
