Lois Farley (nee: Buttner) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Arbor Glen Long Term Care Center, Bridgewater. She was born in Jersey City to the late Agnes (nee: Duffy) and George Buttner and was a lifelong Bayonne resident.
Mrs. Farley was a cashier for ShopRite for 25 years. She also worked at New York Telephone prior to her tenure at ShopRite.
Mrs. Farley was a Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1612 and was also a Past President of the Mary J. Donohue P.T.A.
Mrs. Farley was predeceased by her beloved husband, Clement Patrick Farley. She is survived by her loving sons, Clement (Maureen) and George (Christa); and her cherished grandchildren; Kevin, Kiernan, and Caitlan Farley. She was also predeceased by her dear sister, Eleanor Taddonio.
The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Monday, December 14, 2020. A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 10:00 a.m. A private cremation will follow. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Inurnment of Mrs. Farley’s cremated remains will take place at a later date at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary Help of Christians Academy, 659 Belmont Ave, North Haledon, NJ 07508 (https://www.maryhelp.org/).
