Maria (Uchanska) Bilyk

Maria A. Bilyk “Bunia” (nee: Uchanska) passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023, at her daughter’s Bayonne residence.  She was born in Zboriv, Ukraine to the late Anna (nee: Kostur) and Leon Uchanski and was a Bayonne resident since 1960.

Mrs. Bilyk was an administrative assistant for the Ukrainian National Association in Jersey City for over 10 years.

A devoted parishioner of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, she was a member of its Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Ukrainian National Home.

She is survived by her beloved children, Stefania De Ros, and her husband, Arrigo Jr., and Roman Bilyk; her cherished grandchildren, Arrigo III, and his wife, Sarah, and Francesca De Ros, and her husband, Matthew; and her dear siblings, Stefania and Ludmilla Uchanska.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Friday, July 7, 2023.  A funeral Liturgy will be held at Assumption of B.V.M. Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Campbell Hall, NY.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Parastas will be held at 5:00 p.m.
