Mark Harrington

Mark Harrington, 62, passed away on May 4, 2021, at his Bayonne residence. He was born on July 6, 1958 in Jersey City to the late Thomas and Catherine Harrington.

A graduate of Bayonne High School, he went on to run the family business, Harrington’s Auto Body and Repair with cousins Daniel Harrington and Charles Harrington. 

He spent almost all of his free time in Lavallette cruising on his boats, working on racecars, and spending time on the beach, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Mary Harrington (née: Downie); his loving sons, Mark Harrington (Alaina) and Thomas Harrington (Erika); his cherished grandchild, Adam Harrington; and his dear sister, Gail Harrington. He will be missed by many, including his walking buddies, Esco and Josie.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Friday, May 7, 2021.  A funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 11:00 a.m.  Private cremation will follow.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mark's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
