Mary (Garcia) Crook

Mary Crook (nee: Garcia), 90, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017, at Regency Park Nursing Center, Hazlet. Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Crook resided in Bayonne before moving to Keansburg in 2009. She was an admissions clerk at Greenville Hospital, Jersey City, before retiring.

A member of St. Mary, Star of the Sea Parish (Blessed Miriam Teresa Demjanovich) Bayonne, she served as Vice President of the Rosary Society and served on many committees. She was also a Eucharistic minister. After moving to Keansburg, she was a member of the Bayshore Seniors.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alvin, in 1975; and her loving daughter, Susan Crook.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Mary Jane Smith (Gene) and Judi Crook; her seven cherished grandchildren, Al, Doug, Paul, Laura,Eugene, Kevin and John Michael; one great grandchild, Kenley Sue and her dear sister, Filomena McGuire.

The funeral will be conducted from the Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
