Matthew Krywy

Matthew Krywy passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024. He was born in Bayonne, NJ to Mary (nee: Mancini) Krywy and the late Anthony Krywy and was a long-time resident. A graduate of St. Peter’s Prep High School, he earned his bachelor’s degree from College of the Holy Cross and his master’s degree from St. Peter’s University. He was a teacher at the Plainfield Academy for Arts and Advanced Studies.  He previously taught at Bayonne High School.
Matthew was an Eagle Scout and had a lifelong passion for music, playing the piano and guitar.   He was a member of the cross country and track team at St. Peter’s Prep and Holy Cross.
Matthew is survived by his loving mother, Mary Krywy; his beloved brother, Greg, and his wife, Abigail; his adoring nephew, Sebastian; his cherished niece, Laurel Emily; and his dear cousins, Audrey, Jim, Sarah, Kathleen, Shannon, Melanie and the Berezny cousins.
The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Private Cremation will follow.
