Patricia (McDonough) Zielinski

Patricia C. Zielinski (nee: McDonough), 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Catherine (nee: Doherty) and Harold J. McDonough. A long-time Bayonne resident, she was a teacher’s aide for the Bayonne Board of Education before her retirement. Affectionately known as Mrs. Z, she was loved by all her students and their families.

Patricia was an avid music lover and the lead singer of an acapella group for many years.

Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband, John “Bull” Zielinski. She is survived by her loving daughters, Marcie, Kimberly, and Amanda Zielinski, son Shawn Zielinski, his wife, Reeshemah; and her cherished grandchildren, Shawn and Ryan Zielinski.  Patricia is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her loving cousins, Margaret “Peggy” Spina and William McCrystal.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Bayonne

Memorial Funeral Home, 854 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 10:45 am at St. Henry's Roman Catholic Church, Bayonne, NJ, followed by interment at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City, NJ.
