Patrick J. Casey

Patrick J. Casey, 88, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, October 22, 2016, with his loving family by his side. Born in Jersey City, Mr. Casey was a Bayonne resident for over 60 years. He was the chief engineer at the New York Stock Exchange for over 25 years, retiring 26 years ago.

Mr. Casey was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Irish American League, Ireland’s 32, and the Holy Name Society of Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish, Bayonne.  He was a lover of music and played the piano accordion.

Mr. Casey is survived by his beloved wife, Mary T. “Maud” Casey (nee: Maguire); his loving children, Eileen Casey-Weaver (Brian), and Patrick, Brendan and John Casey; and five cherished grandchildren. He was predeceased by his dear sisters, Mary Callahan and Nellie O’Sullivan.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, October 27, 2016. A funeral Mass will be offered at the Parish of Blessed Miriam Teresa at St. Andrew’s Church at 10:00 a.m. with cremation to follow at Rosehill Crematory, Linden. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Food Pantry at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish, 326 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ 07002.
