Bob Kudlacik passed away peacefully at home on October 23, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born at the Margaret Hague Hospital on September 2, 1955, to the late Alice and Walter Kudlacik and was a long-time Bayonne resident.
A graduate of St. Aloysius Grammar School, Marist High School and St. Francis College, Bob had a fifty-year career in trucking and warehouse operations, working at Liberty Richter, Kreilcamp Trucking and IMTT prior to his illness.
Bob was an active member of St. Andrew’s Parish, serving as a Eucharistic Minister, member of the Parish Council, Food Pantry and Carnival Committee. He was always involved in church activities.
Bob was an avid Mets, Giants and Rangers fan and loved to barbecue in any kind of weather.
Affectionately known as “Bunce” to family and close friends, he will be missed by all.
Bob is survived by the love of his life, Sharon; his beloved children, Robert, and his wife, Roxana, and Melissa; his cherished granddaughter, Amelia; his dear brothers, George, and his wife, Sheila, William, and Lenny, and his wife, Lu; his loving sister-in-law, Ellen; and many adoring nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his dear older brother Walter, and sister-in-law, Laura.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A funeral Mass will take place at Blessed Miriam Teresa Parish at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 11:30 a.m. Private cremation will follow.
The family wants to extend a special thanks to the nurses at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dana and Laverne, for their exceptional care and tenderness shown to Bob.
