Ruth G. Geraghty

Ruth G. Geraghty (nee: Wilson) passed away peacefully on January 5, 2023 at her Orlando residence.  She was born in Brooklyn to the late Ruth (nee: McKee) and David Wilson and was a long-time Bayonne resident prior to relocating to Florida.  She was a school teacher for the Jersey City Board of Education for 15 years prior to retirement.  She was a member of the Bayonne Quilting Club.

Mrs. Geraghty was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Geraghty. She is survived by her loving children, John Geraghty Jr., and his wife, Kathleen, and Ruth Anne Braddock ; her cherished grandchildren, Louis Ammerata, and his wife, Lucia, Jennifer Schiavone, and her husband, Joe, Mary Elizabeth Podvin, and her husband, Michael, and James Braddock, and his wife, Tina; her three adoring great grandchildren; and her dear siblings, George Wilson, and his wife, Maureen, and Diane Darnall, and her husband, Bill.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.  Visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
