Scott Dillin

Scott P. Dillin, 61, passed away from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) on October 8, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Bayonne, NJ, he moved to New York City in 1988 and returned to Bayonne in 2020 to be near family and friends.  Scott worked for the New York Police Department for 19 years and spent many years in various Narcotics Divisions, which took him undercover, and retired in 2007 as a Detective in  the Boro Manhattan South, Homicide Squad.    

Scott was a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) with movie credits for A Winter’s Tale, American Gangster, Analyze That, A Perfect Murder, The Smurfs, Law and Order, The Sopranos and Sex in the City, to name a few.  He was a member of the Emerald Society, the Friar’s Club, and the St. Andrews Society of New York.  Scott was an avid fisherman and traveler, as well as huge New York Jets and boxing fan.

Scott was the beloved husband of Bobbie Collins Dillin, the loving father of Shane Dillin, Nicolette Dillin, and her fiancé Devin Hauser, and Caitlin Collins-Dillin. He was the son of Dorothy (Nee: Dillon) and the late Cornelius Dillin; the loving brother of Bruce Dillin, and his wife, Nicole (Nee: Nese), and Wayne Dillin, and his fiancé, Denise Rodriguez; the loving brother-in-law of Debra and David Peel and Thomas and Kim (nee: Collins) Radumski.  He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and was a dear, longtime friend to Colleen Calvo-Hitchell, Richard Hitchell, Greg Zekster and fiancé, Susan Monda.   

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 11, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a funeral service taking place at 8:00 p.m. Cremation will be private.
