Thomas John Hurley

Thomas John Hurley passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ.  He was born in Flushing, NY to the late Bernice (nee: Prostler) and Alfred Hurley, and moved to Woodbridge, NJ. 

Tom was a Bayonne resident for most of his life prior to retiring to Toms River. He was employed at BMW in Jersey City for over 20 years. An avid Harley Davidson rider, he was a member of the Elks Motorcycle Club in Bayonne for many years.

Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores “Cookie” Hurley (nee: Mulkern); his loving children, Matthew Hurley, Mark Hurley and his wife Maryann, Ryan Hurley

and his wife Laura, and Deirdre Bassin and her husband, Brent; his loving grandchildren, Sarah, Ella, Mark, Sean, Ava, Nathan, and Daisy; and his dear siblings, Patricia Essig, Jill Harreskov and Irene Michaeli, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services were conducted. Thomas’s ashes will be entombed at Christ the King Catholic Mausoleum in Toms River, NJ at a later date.
