Toby Thibeau

Toby Thibeau passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at his residence.  He was born in Chicago to the late Bridget (nee: Flynn) and John (Jack) Thibeau and was a long-time Bayonne resident.  He was a graduate of St. Ambrose and St. Peter’s, being awarded degrees from both schools. 

Toby worked for Best Foods, starting in San Francisco then in Bayonne and eventually in the Argo division as a supervisor in food production. 

Toby loved spending time with his wife Mary at their cabin in the Poconos and enjoyed his time with friends.  He had many passions, including watching movies, playing cribbage, doing crossword puzzles in ink and playing golf.

He was an excellent cook, without any professional training and was always willing to help in any situation.

Toby is survived by his beloved wife, Mary (nee: Polowy) Thibeau; his five dear brothers and a sister; and many extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by a brother and sister.

The funeral will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Monday, September 19, 2022.  A Funeral Liturgy will be held at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Parastas will be held at 3:00 p.m.
