Violet (Blohm) Reid

Violet E. Reid (nee: Blohm), 96, passed away on February 2, 2018.  She was born in Jersey City and was a Bayonne resident for many years prior to relocating to Basking Ridge, NJ four years ago.

Violet was predeceased by her husband, John.  She is survived by her daughter, Cathleen Reid McMahon; her sister-in-law, Dolores Forts; her four grandchildren and their spouses, Edward and Abigail, Sean, Scott and Alyssa, Deborah and Joshua White and the late Matthew McMahon; and her seven great grandchildren, Fiona, Conor, Aidan, Jacquelyn, Saoirse, Ava and Matthew.

The funeral service will be conducted by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. followed by interment at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ.  Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
