Zenowij Siryj

Zenowij “Zenon” Siryj passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at his Bayonne residence.  He was born in Berezhany, Ukraine to the late Maria (nee: Pyk) amd Wasyl Siryj and was a long-time Bayonne resident.  He was a chemical gauge reader for IMTT prior to retirement.

Mr. Siryj proudly served the nation as a member of the United States Army. 

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret (nee: Kuczynski) Siryj; and cherished grandson, Michael Shkolar.  He is survived by his loving daughters, Katherine Shkloar, and her husband, Bohdan, and Areta Costello, and her husband, Charles,; his adoring grandchildren, Charles Costello III and Alexa Costello; and his loving caretaker, Katherine.  He was also predeceased by his dear siblings, Katherine, Stephan, Myron, Jaraslow, and Alexander.

Private funeral services followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, will be held under the direction of Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Saturday, July 8, 2023.
