Ann E. Mills (nee: Gawason), 85, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at Fountain View Care Center, Lakewood. Born in Bayonne, she was a resident for most of her life.
She was a transcriber for Morgan Stanley, Jersey City, for 20 years, retiring in 1996.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Mills, and her brother, Walter Gawason.
She is survived by her son, Stephen Dowhan (Melanie); her grandchildren, Rachel Mullenfroth (Dan) and Eric Dowhan (Ashley); her great grandchildren, April Rose and Brantley; her brothers, Michael Gawason (Barbara) and Paul Gawason (Barbara); and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
The funeral will be conducted from the Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, June 18, 2015. The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption of the B.V.M. Ukrainian Catholic Church followed by interment at Bayview Cemetery, Jersey City. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Parastas will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
