Arlene Rivera Flores, of Bayonne, formerly of Jersey City, entered into eternal life on Saturday May 27, 2017, at the Bayonne Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Jersey City and resided in Bayonne for the past 15 years. She was employed as an office manager for Premier Orthopedics of Hackensack, NJ.
She was a youth softball coach for the Cities of Jersey City and Bayonne recreational leagues for many years.
Arlene is survived by her beloved mother, Sonia Santiago and stepfather Danilo Regalado. She was the loving mother of Genessey A. Flores and Walter M. Flores; the cherished grandmother of Aniyah & Aeden; the dear sister of George & Mary Rivera, Giselle Regalado, Kenneth & Julie Rivera; the devoted aunt of George Jr., Samantha, Anthony, Sabrina, Angelis, Hector, Alexis, Kenny Jr., Brian & Sophie; and the caring companion of Bobby K. Powers. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends who were all lovingly by her side, along with an impressive number of youth players she had coached & whom she considered her surrogate children.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday June 1,2017 beginning at 8:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Henry's Church at 10:45 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery Jersey City. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 3:00 .p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
