David Smith

David Smith, 75, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014, at his residence.  Born in Jersey City, he was a lifelong resident of Bayonne.  Mr. Smith was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Local #28, Bayonne for 50 years.   He was a prior owner of Davey Joe’s Locker, Smitty’s Pet Store and Gus and Hank’s Tavern.

Mr. Smith proudly served the nation as a member of the United States Army.

Mr. Smith is survived by his loving children, David and Ellis Smith, and Dawn Brady; his dear stepson, Michael Ensor; his adoring grandchild, Samantha Smith; and his beloved siblings, John, Richard and Robert Smith, and Louanne Yendrey.  He was predeceased by his dear siblings, Jeffrey Smith and Rose Marie Epps.

The funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 by Bayonne Memorial Home, Inc.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
